Giving Others In Need a Hand Up, Not a Handout

"A testimony of what God has done through the ministry of HUA. In 2026 we have expanded the ministry to both east and west Africa. Please join us in praying for the gospel to continue to spread. Consider making a donation to join us in what the Lord is doing to change lives around the world.
We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is 100% volunteer driven. No one makes a salary or a profit from HUA&B, and you can be assured that your tax deductible donations go to assisting those in need. Thank you for your support.

For the past twenty years, Hand Up Africa & Beyond has been sharing the gospel in Africa while working to improve the lives of orphans and at-risk children. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, our vision is to expand our ministry to support churches, schools, orphanages, and other organizations in reaching at-risk children worldwide with the gospel. We believe God has entrusted us with a comprehensive vision to fulfill our mission through these gospel-centered initiatives.

Hand Up Africa (HUA) is currently building a church in the village of Contente. As seen in the photo, the believers are presently gathering under a temporary, makeshift structure. The congregation is growing rapidly, and the village is in great need of a permanent place of worship.
Constructing this church will provide a safe and comfortable space for the believers to gather, protecting them from the rain and the intense heat of the sun. The total cost of this project is $5,000

Hand Up Africa (HUA) is working to build a church in the village of Mabureh. As you can see in the photo, the believers are currently gathering for worship outside under a large tree. During our recent trip, we heard many powerful testimonies of people coming to faith in Jesus.
Because the church is growing rapidly, the village now needs a dedicated building where the congregation can meet. A church structure will allow the believers to worship together indoors, providing protection from the rain and the intense heat of the sun.
The total cost to complete this project is $5,000

Hand Up Africa (HUA) is helping expand the school in the village of Mabureh. As you can see from the photo, many children are gathered there, yet the school currently has only one classroom to serve them all.
During our recent trip, we learned that the headmaster who founded the school has recently come to faith in Jesus and has renamed it Mabureh Christian School. This is a powerful testimony of how God is working in the community.
This project will allow additional classroom space so the children can learn in a proper environment instead of meeting outside. The total cost of the expansion project is $2,500

HUA is helping build a school in Port Loko. As you can see in the photo, construction has already begun on the new school structure. Currently, the school meets outside under a tree and serves about 65 children.
Although it is a Christian school, many of the students come from Muslim families. These children are hearing the Gospel, singing worship songs, and learning to recite Scripture as part of their daily academic experience.
During our recent trip, the children blessed our team by singing and reciting Scripture for us. This new building will provide a proper classroom so the students can learn indoors instead of meeting outside in the elements.
The total cost of this project is $2,500

Hand Up Africa (HUA) is providing a much-needed well in the Northern District for the village of Mamaka. This large village is home to a growing congregation of believers, and many people from surrounding villages are now attending the new church that was completed last year.
The village currently relies on a hand-dug well that runs dry during much of the dry season. Even when water is present, it is often contaminated with bacteria, which has caused illness among many villagers and has reportedly contributed to miscarriages within the community. A deep water well is urgently needed to provide a reliable and safe source of clean drinking water.
As you can see from the photo, Mamaka is a large village with many people who would benefit from this project. The total cost to complete the well is $9,000

During Hand of Africa’s recent trip to Kenya in January, we began an important new project at Challenge Farm in Kitale, Kenya.
In 2017, Hand of Africa completed a 5,000-square-foot workshop at Challenge Farm. This ministry serves street children by helping them receive an education and become productive members of Kenyan society through education, Gospel teaching, discipleship, and practical training.
We are now partnering with an organization in Nairobi to launch a new welding school on the farm. Students will participate in a year-long welding training program and receive a certificate upon completion. This certification will equip them with the skills needed to start their own welding businesses and build sustainable livelihoods in Kenya.
Hand of Africa has committed to helping fund the first year of this new trade school.
The total cost to implement this project is $3,600
"A testimony of what God has done through a short-term mission trip in the lives of young adults. The trip was to Challenge Farm, a street children rescue ministry in Kenya. Hand Up Africa has partnered and supported this ministry for many years."

Prayer is effective! When God is working on something big, there are also always spiritual forces working against us. Please be praying for provision, safety, and resources for our projects!
